Every one is affected by stress sooner or later, but too much stress is bad for you mentally, emotionally, and destroys health. When you're stress is getting out of hand use these 10 simple ways to relieve stress.

1. Laugh out loud is more than a cute LOL to text and tweet with, laughter really is the best medicine. Watching a funny movie that will have you rolling is a great way to reduce stress and even make you physically healthy.

2. Warm baths will relax you and give you a general sense of calm mentally, and emotionally. Try putting about a cup of raw oats in your bath to make your skin healthy and smooth.

3. Herbs are a great simple way to relieve stress. Chamomile is just one example of an herb that is known to promote calmness and well being.

4. Listening to relaxing music is a great way to relieve stress, and let the troubles of the day float away. Do a search for music to relax and you might get some new ideas.

5. Have you had a massage lately? A full body massage by a trained professional is a treat that will dissolve stress and tension, and get every cell in your body re-vitalized.

6. Aroma therapy with herbs and oils such as rosemary, peppermint, and lavender, just to name a few, is a method that may be considered alternative to some, but will help to relax and de-stress you.

7. Write your stress and problems away in a diary, or journal. Most of us stopped writing the day we finished school, but writing borders on miraculous when it comes to relieving stress.

The thing about your personal writing is that you can really say whatever you are feeling and get it all out, without anyone ever knowing.

8. Get some exercise, go for a walk, anything different than work. A 20 minute walk will get blood circulating throughout your body, relieve stress, lift your spirits mentally and emotionally, and make you healthy.

9. Green tea is a natural stress reliever, loaded with antioxidants that help your health and your moods, as it energizes you, and boost your metabolism.

10. When you practice yoga and or meditation, you learn to connect your mind, body, and spirit. Either of these techniques will leave you feeling completely refreshed and tension and stress free.

Stress is known to be the cause of most major illnesses and keeps your immune system weak, allowing every virus entry into your body.

Don't take your stress lightly and be vigilant to look for new, and enjoyable ways to relieve stress.
